Generally speaking ZANOG does not advocate the use of “speedtesting” however certain tools are useful for troubleshooting if understood and used correctly.

Mikrotik “btest” is now available on the ZANOG Durban node.
The idea is for local networks to be able to do some basic testing of link capacity.
The service is offered as is, with no guarantees.
It is hosted on a server with the 10G NIC.
